Baga Beach

Baga beach one of the famous beach in Goa. it is a seaside town in Bardez  Goa. Calangute is the nearest main city which is around 2 kms away. it is located in north Goa  9kms from mapusa and 16kms from Panaji. It is surrounded by calangute beach in south and anjuna beach at north on the other side of the river.

About The Beach

Baga  beach is known for its beautiful brown sand and creek the Baga creek.  It is visited by thousands of tousists annually. The Beach is Named after the Baga Creek, which emptieses into the Arabian Sea at the north end side of the beach.

Baga beach is small but beautiful and perfect as it less Crowded  comapared to other beach. So it is famous for peoples to spend some peaceful moments. The sand of the Baga beach is neither weight nor gold it is like brown in colour. At the edges of the beach it is surrounded by palm trees which gives extra charm to the beach.  On the side of the beach there is Baga River where children could play.

Baga beach is ideal location for beach holidays, water sports, picnic, fishing, shopping, cruises, dolphin cruise.

Some of the other attractions of the beach are bagabeach Retreat House, Medicinal Springs at mottant and Club Tito's well known for Nightlife.

Water Sports: Baga is known for its water sports activities. You can Para sailing, Wake boarding, Wind surfing, Kite Surfing or u can also enjoy Jet ski  riding.

 

Dolphin Spotting: it is also a trip ride like where u can go for Dolphin Spotting small trip in sea. you can also enjoy Island Trips.

 

Beach walk: One can Enjoy beach scenery by walking along the beach side till sunset and u can enjoy food in beach side Shacks.

It is believed that Sand of the Baga beach contains some medicinal content u can see many peoples with wet sand smeared on there body.

 

Swimming: As Baga Beach and water is clean one can enjoy swimming . You can swim along the beach stretch but one should have life safe guards.

 

Shopping: A Wednesday Flea market at Anjuna Beach and Saturday Flea Market at Apora Beach  are very much near to the Baga beach so people can go and shop here.

 

 Night Life: Baga is Also well known for its Night Life.  Most of them found in and around Tito's Lane. You can find n number of  Bars and cafe's, Club Tito and Mambo  club are  most famous. Sports Café is also enjoyable.

 

Eat and Drink: Baga has all type of food destination. You can find many beach side shacks serves traditional Goan Cuisine foods. Many Pizzerieas , Terrace Cafes are there where you will get tasty  delicious Goan Cuisine .   Fiesta, Britto's The Leela Café are one of the famous food destination that one must try.

In Baga One can get many accommodation option. Starting from normal hotel rooms many Resorts,  Cottages, Boutique hotels are available. Ronil Beach Resort is centrally located which is walkable distance from the beach. A well known  Boutique hotel Casa Baga is also very near beach.  Biado sol is located in river front which is also famous one. Alidia Beach Cottages is in front of the beach One can try in budget side.

 

How To Reach

By Air: Dabolium is the airport which is near to Panaji From there you will get buses taxi to Baga.

By Train: The nearest railway station is Thivim and Karmali from there we can get buses and taxi to Baga Beach.

By Road:Buses are available From Mapusa and Panaji.
